The form of motivation used by the advertising is commonly referred
to as the advertising appeal. Advertising appeal signifies those mental elements
of the approach and of the copy that actually stimulate reader response.
Advertising appeals that arose an proper amount of emotional
tension can be successful in achieving a desired attitudinal change. Appeal
awakens or arouses the dormant desire in the mind of the individual and sets
into action the behavior mechanisms which will lead to the satisfaction of the
desire.
